Ronaldo and Saudi club Al Nassr came to an agreement on December 30th, 2022, enabling Ronaldo to sign a deal with the club through January 1st, 2023. Ronaldo had the largest football wage in history, worth €200 million annually, according to Fabrizio Romano of The Guardian; this includes a €90 million guaranteed playing salary annually, with commercial and sponsorship deals boosting his total yearly salary to €200 million. Additionally, he reportedly received a signing bonus in the neighborhood of €100 million. In order to join Al Nassr, Ronaldo allegedly turned down a transfer to Major League Soccer team Sporting Kansas City.
